|Spanky is recovering nicely and now
looking for a forever home.
On November 6, 2014, a young dog that had been hit by a car and left on the side of the road was brought to Beach Park Animal Hospital. With no name tag or anyone to claim him, our staff named him Spanky.
Together with the Waukegan Animals Getting Saved (WAGS) organization, we are helping to give Spanky a new lease on life. We had to amputate his leg because it was so badly injured, but he is now recovering and looking for a forever home.
Spanky's surgery has drained our Help-A-Pet Fund, in which our wonderful clients donate to in order to help animals in need. For the full story, please read the Lake County News-Sun article, Puppy saved, but funds run out for Help-A-Pet.
If you would like to donate to the fund, or to Spanky's cause, please call us at (847) 244-1230. Every little bit helps — thank you!
